‌Regular cleaning‌: Keeping the VFD clean is an important step in maintenance. Industrial and commercial environments are full of dust and debris, which can accumulate on the VFD and affect its function. Therefore, the VFD needs to be cleaned regularly, especially the heat sink and fan, to ensure that they are kept clean.

‌Temperature control‌: VFDs generate heat during operation, so it is necessary to ensure proper air circulation and install a temperature control system to maintain its optimal operating temperature.

‌Visual inspection‌: Regularly visually inspect the VFD to identify any visible faults. Inspection areas include the cooling system, fiber optic cables, connections, and the operation of emergency circuits.

‌Prevent moisture penetration‌: VFDs should be kept away from moisture, as moisture can cause equipment failure, erratic behavior, and corrosion. Ensure that the VFD is kept dry.

‌Tight connections‌: Regularly check whether the electrical connections are loose, as continuous vibrations may cause the connections to loosen and affect the operation of the controller.
